IGNOU PGDCA Course 2024- The Indira Gandhi Open University offers many diploma courses. A new diploma course is recently launched by the university that is called post graduate diploma in computer applications (PGDCA).
This diploma course consists of 12 courses with 36 credits. The Aim of this course is to develop new skills in students with newest tech nology in computer software and also make student more advance with this course in the IT sector.
It also prepares students for aim to a programmer level/Web developer in software company to design and develope small business application software or work as a free lancer for software projects.
IGNOU PGDCA Admission 2024 July Session

Eligibilty Criteria for PGDCA Admission 2024
- Any Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) from recognised university.
- Also, Mathematics should be one of the subject at 10+2 level or graduation level.
- If student never studied maths at 10+2 level and also in gra duation level, then student should pursue and pass BCS-012 Course concurrently with PGDCA Course.
IGNOU PGDCA Fee Structure
For full Programme, fees is Rs 21,600 but semester wise fees is Rs 10,800/per semester.
Also, a non-maths student should pay Additional fee for the first semester i.e Rs 1,400.
Duration of PGDCA Course
Pgdca from ignou is of minimum 1 year and maximum of 4 years and it is offered in both january and july cycle admissions.
Programme Details of PGDCA Programme
PGDCA course divided into two semesters per year. The First semester is January- June and second is July- december.
Also, the exami nation held twice. Once in month of June for January to June semester and Second is in the month of December for July to December semester.

Pgdca course from ignou is a good idea?
In my opinion, this course of pgdca from ignou is good idea to introduce by university.
But according to me, practicals good teachers are so important for any IT course. Therefore, if ignou will conduct proper practical lessons and provide good teachers then it is a good pgdca course from ignou.
